FLOTATION THERAPY EXPLAINED

Flotation Therapy, also known as R.E.S.T. (Reduced Environmental Stimulus Therapy) is an all- natural, powerful tool for muscle recovery, mental clarity, stress reduction, deeper sleep and more.

Guests float effortlessly for 60-90 minutes in 10-12 inches of water. The water is kept between 93--95°F. This is skin-receptor neutral, which means you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins.

1,000+ pounds of pharmaceutical grade Epsom salt allows the mind and body to completely let go, relax, and reset due to the zero-gravity environment. The pods and the pool room add to the experience by eliminating light and sound. However, the light and sound are user controlled.

During your float the outside world disappears. Your mind can start producing theta brainwaves. Theta brainwaves occur during deep relaxation. It’s like creating a bridge between the conscious and subconscious. If you’ve ever gotten a brilliant idea while taking a shower, going on a run, or drifting off to sleep, you’ve experienced the power of theta. After years of practice, people can enter theta state through deep meditation. Flotation gets you there with hardly any effort at all.

Flotation is like training wheels for meditation. Your mind and body learn how to get into this relaxed state faster with each consecutive session. Theta waves are typically only produced when someone is in Stage two non-REM sleep or in deep meditation.

Flotation therapy offers a wide range of relief and benefits. These effects can last days or up to a few months. Regular sessions make the effects cumulative, meaning that the effects build with each subsequent session. Three 90 minute floats are recommended to give your body and mind time to relearn how to relax.
